Oscitome S4
The Oscitome S4 is the basic model for cutting shielding blocks. The machine cuts the Styrofoam in a fully automated way, and no manual adjustments are required. The shapes of the contours can be obtained from a simulator X-ray film, with the aid of a digitizer. The setup is freely accessible in an autonomously compiled list of focus and tray distances. The Oscitome S4 can also import files from most standard Treatment Planning Systems. The Oscitome saves all patient treatment-field contour data in ASCII text files. The size and weight of the resulting blocks are calculated and corrected, where necessary, before the real cutting process starts. Many different operations are possible, such as: mirror X axe, mirror Y axe, rotate block, rotate collimator, move block, move point, move start point, insert point, delete point, join 2 blocks in one, define field size, place text, combine blocks to save foam, import blocks, blocks on both sides of the plexy tray and many more. The operator can edit contour points manually and add text, if required, as well as undoing any mistakes that have been made.
